In 2014, Jason and Brooke first met at work, in the radiology department of Kelowna General Hospital. Jason’s big beaming smile and Brooke’s amazing eyes and freckles were what first attracted them to each other. It wasn’t until the hospital Christmas party, later that year, that they had the opportunity to really start talking with each other.they discovered they lived in the same condo building only two floors apart!

They began to hang out a lot, and soon became “more than friends”. While attending Jason’s aunt and uncle’s 50th wedding anniversary and Jason saw Brooke fit in so beautifully with his large family, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with this amazing woman!

Brooke realized that Jason was “the one” as he had all the attributes she could ever hope for in a life partner; integrity, his big circle of loving family and friends, Jason wanting a family of his own, and his adventurous side. Some of their fondest memories are traveling to their cabin at Big White, Hawaii, Portugal, and New Orleans. They look back with a sense of humour to their first big trip together to Portugal, and how it tested their relationship – within 20 minutes of landing they had already locked their keys in the rental car, or when they were exhausted and stuck in Denver airport on a layover for 18 hours!
Brooke and Jason share a tremendous passion for skiing! One day, in December 2016, while going down a run,
Jason had to stop suddenly as there was a “problem” with his binding
Jason had to stop suddenly as there was a “problem” with his binding. Confused about why he had to stop, Brooke had no idea what was about to happen. As Jason undid his binding, he slid forward on one knee and pulled out the ring he had hidden in his pocket! He wanted to completely surprise Brooke – and he certainly did!

The venue for the wedding, the Grand Okanagan Resort located in Kelowna’s waterfront park area, was chosen as it was where Jason and Brooke first lived and developed their relationship. They would also bike past Bertram park, which is now close to their new home. These two locations for the wedding represented their lives together thus far – the old neighbourhood and the new neighbourhood!
The colours for the wedding were chosen as soft neutrals that allowed the blues and greens of the Okanagan Valley to be highlighted! The garden theme was selected because of their love and appreciation for the outdoors! Brooke chose her dress as she loved the fit and feel, the lace overlay straps and the keyhole back – it felt unique and flattering but still comfortable. The way the layers of lace highlighted the silhouette of the dress was beautiful. Truly a stunning bride!
