"A Match Made in Heaven" | Alex + Charlotte

The stars aligned one sunny Saturday afternoon in 2009 and Alex and Charlotte met for the first time!  Their paths had crossed on many occasions while attending the same parties but one was always leaving as the other arrived.  Destiny prevailed, and Charlotte was immediately taken by what she describes as “this tall, dark and handsome stranger”.  Alex’s first thoughts when he met Charlotte was “I have to get this girl – she is stunning.”

On their third date Alex flew to France to be with Charlotte.

At the end of two incredibly romantic days they both knew in their hearts this was something serious and each believed they had “found the one!”

They continued this fairytale romance skiing in Meribel, drinking prosecco in Rome, nibbling on fresh olives and nuts while sipping cocktails on their balcony on the Amalfi coast.  One of their most memorable moments was taking the boat back from Lido to Venice one evening, sitting at the front of the boat gazing up at the stars.

In October, 2010 Charlotte planned a special birthday celebration for Alex by taking him away to Brockenhurst in the New Forest for the weekend.  On Saturday after a wonderful dinner, Alex suggested they grab a bottle of champagne and take it back to their room to watch the “match of the day” on the television.  Alex poured the champagne and tried to talk to Charlotte by standing in front of the television, Charlotte kept asking him to move, after all it was Manchester United playing West Ham!  Even when Alex got down on one knee Charlotte still didn’t know what was happening until he said those four magical words “Will you marry me?” and opened a little black box to reveal the most stunning and beautiful ring.  

Charlotte almost speechless, said YES!

Alex put the ring on Charlotte’s finger and she just ran around the room for hours she was so excited.  October 3, 2010 Alex and Charlotte were the true “match of the day”!

Their Carnival themed wedding was everything they could have ever dreamed of.  It was held at the famous Preston Court near Kent, where Charlotte was from, was the perfect backdrop for their special day.  From the caterers, the florists, the decorations and the whimsical carousel, June 3, 2012 could not have been a more fun and memorable time for all who shared this special day with Charlotte and Alex.
