James and Darcy met in the summer of 2008, in Prince George, Canada. Their fathers knew each other through business. One sales trip Darcy’s dad inquired about housing in Prince George (little did James’ dad know it was for Darcy) but unfortunately Darcy had found alternate arrangements. After some convincing on James’ part and as the universe had planned, Darcy took a leap of faith and trusted that James wasn’t some creepy old man, and so it begun. Their relationship blossomed and soon Darcy moved in with James. That’s when he knew she was the one.
It didn’t take much for Darcy to realize the same. Leaving James for a few days made her feel like she couldn’t live without him.

They had talked about marriage, but it wasn’t until winter of 2010 that James finally mustered the confidence to ask Darcy to marry him. At Purden Lake in December 2010, after snowshoeing, she said “Yes!”.
Fast forward to Sept 2011. An elegant stylish Vancouver Art gallery wedding (which, by the way, was Darcy’s choice. She figured if she had to live in Prince George she will most definitely have her wedding in Vancouver), accented in fall greens and chocolate browns. St. Andrews church being their choice for ceremony, the same church Darcy’s brother was wed in, and the Vancouver Art Gallery as the venue for their reception. A night of elegance, joy, and one heck of a good party brought an end to their momentous day, while at the same time a beginning to what will be their lives, together.
